Who You Are Calling

We're a dryer vent cleaning company based in Petaluma, CA. We've worked this area long enough to know the neighborhoods, the housing stock, and the kinds of calls that come in regularly.

Some vents can't be cleaned back to working order, and we say so on site. If a flex foil run has been crushed behind a dryer for fifteen years, or the duct is torn open inside a wall cavity, or someone routed the exhaust into a crawlspace instead of outside, brushing it is a waste of your money. We'll show you what we're looking at, explain why it won't hold airflow, and talk through repair or a proper new run. The other side of that: we also tell people when a vent is fine. If you called because the dryer got slow and the line turns out to be clear, we'll say the problem is somewhere else and we're not going to invent work.

Our service area

We cover Petaluma and the surrounding towns. If you're in one of these areas and have a dryer vent cleaning problem, call us. We usually get out the same day.

How we decide between cleaning, repairing, and replacing a vent

The Petaluma Gap pulls cool marine air inland most summer mornings. Damp air inside a duct changes how lint behaves. It stops blowing clear. It packs and glazes onto the pipe wall. Winter makes it worse in attic runs, where the pipe sits in unconditioned space and moisture condenses inside. That is the cause behind most of the clogs we open up here. It also explains why some vents come back dirty fast.

So the first call is whether the duct can be cleaned. Flex foil that has been crushed behind a laundry pedestal will not brush out. Neither will a run that sags between joists and holds water at the low point. Those get replaced with rigid metal, not scrubbed again.

Housing era drives the recommendation. A 1960s ranch tract with a short garage wall run is almost always a clean-only job. Pre-1940 homes retrofitted through basements or converted pantries often have improvised runs, sometimes terminating in a crawlspace, and that is a rerouting conversation. Two-story homes built in the 1980s onward have long attic or roof runs with several elbows, so we look at elbow count and termination hood first.

We say no when replacement is the honest answer and cleaning would only buy a few months.
